Review from Three Weeks Edinburgh 2003

Thick as Thieves
Hard Graft
"Hello you don't know me", says the burglar as he calls the police from the
scene of his ongoing crime, "I'm a burglar. While I was looking for
something to bury the budgie in I found a dead old man in his pants with one
sock and a big gash on his head." If you're a small time robber this is not
how you want a job to go. Nor do you want an accomplice with two kids and a
sudden urge to call his wife to video 'The Simpsons'. As you should be able
to tell by now, this is a good old-fashioned crime caper, albeit with
updated language and a discordant ending. Mostly lacking in subtlety, this
is a very dynamic duo; they can get away with putting the budgie in the
microwave on stage and not sounding like Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, so they
surely deserve to do well.
