the story so far...
thick as thieves started in my terraced house in nottingham, but it grew.

Friends, Romans, countrymen,
lend me your front room!
In a once in my lifetime event, Hardgraft Theatre Company is offering their professional services free of charge to members of the public. They will be performing their new play "True Story" about a couple of burglars, as a UK tour, nothing strange in that. They will however be attempting a tour of people's front rooms, kitchens or studies and are currently looking for volunteers and suggestions.
The idea is simple. From the 4th - 10th February 2002, Hardgraft will be traveling north from Nottingham to Newcastle, across to Carlisle then south following the M6 and M5 corridor down to Cornwall and finally heading home to Nottingham via London and the A1.
We are looking for theatre
lovers who are willing to organise:
1. A venue
2. A meal (2 actors, a stage manager and a camera man.)
3. An audience. (We estimate an average audience of 10 per evening, depending
on the venue)
4. An man to be part of the cast (he says nothing but must be willing to wear
nothing but pants and a sock!)
We are also looking for places to stay along the way
Any serious offers for a
4th February tour date

more favorable reviews and my head was getting even bigger so we decided to take the play to the Edinburgh festival - in august 2003 we took the stage of the Smirnoff Underbelly and we never gave it back. Hard graft had a sell out four star show!
